Governor Ayodele Fayose’s Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka has said that his late mother, Mrs Racheal Ibijola Olayinka-Tenibiaje, who died on February 2, 2017, will be buried on April 29, 2017 in Okemesi Ekiti, Ekiti West Local Government Area of Ekiti State. Olayinka, who made this known in a statement issued on Sunday, said Friday, April 28 and Saturday, April 29, 2017 were picked as the funeral ceremonies dates after due consultation with the family members. Ekiti state governor, Ayodele Fayose on Wednesday  stormed the Ministry of Finance over the non payment of the state's January budget support allocation of N1.1 billion. This is even as former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode described the development as petty, vindictive and reprehensible. The Appeal Court sitting in Ado Ekiti yesterday threatened members of the Williams Ajayi-led faction of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) with warrant of arrest over a letter allegedly written against members of the 3-member appeal panel , accusing them of corruption and bias. The justices were:  Ahmad Olanrewaju Belgore, Fatima Omoro Akinbami and Ayobode Olujimi Loluko-Sodipe. 1st February, 2017 Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose at a meeting with Executives of the Ekiti State Council of Nigeria Medical Association(NMA) in Afao Ekiti on Wednesday approved the Consolidated Medical Salary Structure for medical doctors in Ekiti State. CONMESS is a special salary scale that medical doctors in the state has been agitating for over the past four months. Governor Fayose who spoke with newsmen after the meeting explained that he would have approved the special package long before now but for the economic downturn being experienced in the state. He said: "but for the dip in our finances, we ought to have done this before but it is better late than never.
