Atiku vs Buhari: Stop consulting presidency, constitute panel based on seniority, Frank tells CJN A political activist and former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Comrade Timi Frank, has urged the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) Justice Tanko Muhammad, to stop unnecessary delay in constituting a Supreme Court panel to determine Alhaji Atiku Abubakar's case challenging the Presidential Tribunal ruling in favour of General Muhammadu Buhari. Frank demanded that the CJN should constitute the Supreme Court panel based on the tradition of seniority and not "consulting or waiting on the advice of the presidency." Frank Lampard confirms four Chelsea stars are ruled out of Ajax clash Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has confirmed that Andreas Christensen, Ross Barkley, Antonio Rudiger and N’Golo Kante won’t be available for the forthcoming Champions League group stage clash against Ajax. Plot to smuggle Maina out of custody foiled Seven operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have been arrested in connection with a plot to smuggle former Pension Reform Task Team (PRTT) chairman AbdulRasheed Maina out of the anti-graft agency’s custody. They are undergoing investigation along with a woman, Zainab Abbas, to determine their involvement in the plot. Maina is being detained by the anti-graft agency which is probing him for alleged N2.1 billion fraud. An official of the agency alleged on Monday that Zainab Abbas, who visited Maina, coordinated the failed attempt to spirit Maina out of custody. According to the source, the seven EFCC men were on duty when the plot was to be carried out. Senate Rejects Budget For Niger Delta Ministry   The Senate Committee on Niger Delta has rejected the 2020 capital budget of the ministry over the non completion of major projects in the region. At the ministry’s budget defense session in the national assembly, committee members expressed dissatisfaction over many abandoned projects across the Niger delta states. The displeasure over unfinished projects in the region was disclosed by the Chairman of the Committee, Sen. Peter Nwaoboshi, when the Minister, Godswill Akpabio appeared before the committee to defend the ministry’s budget of N25, 910,486,285. Senator Nwaboshi stated that there is no state within the Niger Delta which does not have abandoned projects that should have been completed before now
