When an honorary chief is given a title in Ado tradition, it is in recognition of his past deeds or contributions that is being appreciated or recognised and not the future deed that he may commit. All ends there and nothing is expected for the award other than good conduct and continued support for Ewi and Ado people. An honorary (ceremonial) chief in Ado-Ekiti is like a prize winner, award winner, someone given an award of honour or recognition for various reasons and or services rendered to Ado community. Ekiti 2018: PDP stakeholders adopt Fayose’s Deputy as sole guber candidate

Less than twelve months to the 2018 governorship election in Ekiti State, critical stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the State have adopted the Deputy Governor, Prof Kolapo Olusola, from Ekiti South Senatorial District, as the preferred candidate of the party. Adoption of the deputy governor, who is a professor of Building Technology from the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Osun State, was the major decision reached at the party’s stakeholders meeting in Ado Ekiti today. Ekiti 2018: Fayose cautions mischief makers, says God will choose his successor

Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose has cautioned Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) faithful in the State against sowing seeds of discord amongst aspirants and leadership of the party. According to a statement issued by his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, Governor Fayose, who sounded the note of warning during a meeting on Monday, at his Afao Ekiti residence with aspirants and leaders from Ikole, Ijero and Ise/Orun LGAs on Monday, said he had nothing against the aspirations of those eyeing the Ekiti top seat.
