GOVERNANCE AND ECONOMY: A VIEW BEYOND PARTISANSHIP

"Don't tell me what you value, show me your budget, and I'll tell you what you value."Joe Biden Full implementation of the much 'FETED' 2016 budget hope may have been dashed already. Nigeria is 40% off her major revenue generation according to report . The economy has been brought to its knee. I heard the president saying 'NO ROOM' for free money again as we need to diversify our economy from the mono. I nodded my head,YES YES YES! I ask myself, where are we diversifying to? Is it manufacturing without electric generation ? Oh,sorry! Agriculture with Fulani herdsmen invasion, destruction, killing and maiming? Tourism without proper planning or road map? Education without adequate funding and trial and error policies? Do you mean with BOOBA OPA relationship that exists between executive and legislative arms of government? Shior! If you are one of the 'hailing hailers' out there;listen to yourself anytime you speak again and again...

"Do they consider that indeed, if we are desirous of winning the 2019 Presidential elections, we must be working towards fine-tuning our plans in Edo and Ondo States on how the elections are going to be won...

APC HAS CONFIRMED OUR POSITION ON EKWEREMADU'S KANGAROO TRIAL - PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) notes with serious concern, but without any iota of shock, the recent comment by the National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, that the continued rumpus in the Senate, including the unrelenting harassment of its leadership and the recent arraignment of its presiding officers on phantom criminal charges of conspiracy and forgery, was all about the emergence of Senator Ike Ekweremadu as the Deputy President of Senate. In a Freudian slip that reveals the underbelly of the entire shenanigan, the National Chairman of the APC had said they would never accept Ekweremadu as the Deputy President of the Senate. His words: "I think the thing that rankled us most was the election of Ekweremadu as Deputy Senate President. Saraki is a member of the APC, much as the main line of the Party would have wished a different result and a different scenario. But we all find it very, very difficult to accept the emergence o...
