According to the national daily, the secret service former spokesperson’s fate may not be unconnected with her role in the last administration and the run-up to the 2015 election. Ogar had been accused of alleged partisanship in the build-up to the general elections. Severally, she addressed press conferences, which seemingly gave her away as the “defacto” spokesperson of the then ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). A source told the newspaper that the development was largely responsible for her demotion from the rank of Assistant Director. She was also said to have been pushed out following the weighty allegation that she was awarded multimillion naira contract to lift kerosene.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State has announced the composition of its Campaign Council ahead of the 2026 governorship election, appointing key political leaders and stakeholders across the state to coordinate the party’s campaign structure. According to the list released by the State Chairman, Barrister Sola Elesin, a total of 57 members have been appointed into the council. Leading the council is Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, the Senate Leader, who will serve as Chairman, while Hon. (Barr.) Sola Elesin will function as Vice Chairman.
