Breaking News: PDP Reconciliation: Alimodu Sherif sheaths sword pledges loyalty to Makarfi leadership



The elders of the People Democratic Party Thursday placated and reconciled the Alimodu Sherif faction with the Senator Makarfi led National Caretaker Committee in the official lodge of the Senate deputy President, Ike Ekweremadu.

The reconciliation was brokered by the Some PDP governors, and elders of the party for peace to reign, more so that the party has two important governorship elections at hand in Edo and Ondo states respectively.

According to information obtained by Nigerian Mirror, Senator Ali Modu Sherif was going to dump Buruji for peace to reign. He got the message that someone somewhere was making extras off the crises in PDP. He decided to sheath his sword for the good of the party. The only option left for Buruji was, if u can't beat them, join them!

Senator Buruji while towing the path of peace also pledged obedience to makarfi led caretaker committee and even hugged Governor Fayose in the spirit of reconciliation

It is no doubt going to be sad news for those who swooned with joy over the internal crisis in the PDP.

In the main time, the expanded caucus meeting of the Party has met at the Yar'Adua Center, Abuja. Various issues concerning the Party were discussed and several decisions taken.

Some of the vital decisions taken are:
1. National Convention of the Party is to hold on the 17th of August, 2016 still in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

2. A Committee has been constituted to work out a new zoning arrangements for national offices with the consideration of the National Chairman zoned to the South having approved Zoning for Presidency to the North at the last National Convention.

3. A National Reconciliation Committee is also constituted to continue on the reconciliation efforts in the Party headed by the Deputy Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu.
