Fayose settles community rift, bag chieftaincy title

Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose has once again been bestowed a chieftaincy title. The title, Atunluse of Esure Ekiti was conferred on him by The Elesure of Esure Ekiti, HRH Oba Adebanji Ajibola and Cheif Olomu Adepoju at a ceremony held on Sunday  within the premises of St. Phillips Catholic Primary School, Esure Ekiti in appreciation of his effort at resolving a leadership tussle that had lasted over fifteen years in the community.

Governor Fayose in his acceptance speech recalled that while  former Ondo State governor, Chief Bamidele Olumilua was the first to commission electricity in the town, he(Fayose) was the first to tar the roads linking Esure with other adjoining towns during his first term in office. Not oblivious of how bad the road has become,  the governor promised to do the little he can before the end of his tenure regarding putting the road in good shape.

Reiterating the importance of peaceful coexistence in the  development of any community, governor Fayose admonished residents of Esure to cooperate and unite so they may have a more developed town.  Fayose who stated that it was unusual of him to accept chieftaincy titles said he accepted the Atunluse title to show his love to the leaders of the community for giving peace a chance. He added that he will come for celebration(Iwuye) of the title once there is substantial evidence that the peace agreement entered by both party is honored.

"There must be harmony, there must be peace in the community, then I will now come and celebrate the chieftaincy title,  I will be a happy man to have everybody come with me to Esure and celebrate, we have both agreed that peace must reign, it's not every crisis you resolve through gun", the governor said.

Attending to some other community demands made by Oba Adebanji Ajibola, the governor directed that a borehole be sunk immediately to compliment the service of the existing one. The governor also directed the Chief of Staff, Barr. Dipo Anisulowo to through his MDG office fix the existing borehole which had become faulty. In his bid to cushion the effect of damage done to some properties during the crisis that engulfed the community, governor Fayose  donated the sum of N1million to be distributed amongst victims.

Mrs. Omolayo, who was warmly received with an Ọ̀wọ̀ song by jubilant party members, expressed appreciation to her ward for the support they gave her when she initially declared her intention to contest for governor. She explained that her decision to step down for Governor Oyebanji was informed by his wide acceptability across the state, sterling performances in office, and commitment to Ekiti’s growth and development, which she described as derivatives of continuity. While addressing the crowd, Mrs. Omolayo urged party members in Eporo Ward...

…As APC Spokesperson Reiterates Official Candidate List Ahead of Publication The APC Integrity Caucus has moved to dismiss what it describes as a reckless and senseless rumour being circulated by a few individuals posing as party members. The gossip, they said, claims that the party “does not intend to submit” the name of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). In a statement released on Thursday, November 14, 2025, the caucus said such claims are baseless and should be ignored by every well-meaning member of the public. “Since the successful conduct of our governorship primary on October 27 and the ratification by authorised delegates on October 29, some mischief makers have been whispering that the party will not submit Governor Oyebanji’s name to INEC. This is completely false,” the statement read. The caucus emphasized that the APC operates according to a clearly defined timetable, which specifies the dates for submissio...
