Pray for Nigeria, Senator Duro Faseyi Urges Muslim Faithfuls

The Senator representing Ekiti North Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Senator Duro Faseyi has felicitated with Muslim faithfuls in Nigeria and Ekiti in particular on the occasion of this year's celebration of Eid-El- Kabir.


The goodwill message was conveyed through his Personal Assistant, Hon. Adeola Ogunrinde while reaching out to Muslim communities during the tour of the five local government areas in Ekiti North comprising Ikole, Oye, Ido/Osi, Moba and Ilejemeje in the senatorial district on Thursday.


The lawmaker used the occasion to call on all religious groups and other Nigerians to pray for the nation and governments at all levels at this critical moment. 

Senator Faseyi also urged the Muslim community and Ekiti people in general to continue to support the government of Governor Peter Ayodele Fayose with prayers so that he will be able to deliver the good promises he has in stock for Ekiti State.


Speaking at the occasion the Chief Imam of Oye Ekiti, Ganiyu Adebusuyi expressed his appreciation to the senator for his kind gesture towards the Muslim community. In his words "We are feeling the impact of Honourable Duro Faseyi and we appreciate him. We pray that Allah will guide him so that he will be able to paddle the canoe to the promise land."


The Executive Chairman of Ido/Osi Local Government Area, Hon Ayodele Arogbodo also spoke with newsmen at the occasion. The Chairman commended the senator for his kind gesture towards the Muslim community. He said: "This is not the first time he will be doing it. Senator Duro Faseyi is a man that has great passion and concern for the masses. He is a kind of person we are all trying to emulate".


The tour was the second of its kind to take place in two years across the senatorial district and was accompanied with presentation of gifts to the Muslim communities in the spirit of Sallah celebration.
