Exclusive! Segun Adewale (Aeroland) gives Fayemi N150m to pursue Supreme Court case against Fayose, Sets to contest Senate under APC

While the Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose is focussing solely on the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Dr Kayode Fayemi as masterminds of the fresh plot to remove him from office, using a review of the Supreme Court judgment, validating his victory in the June 21, 2014 governorship election, it has been discovered that one of the major masterminds is Mr Segun Adewale, otherwise known as Aeroland.

Three days ago, Segun Adewale allegedly donated N150 million to Fayemi, as part of his contribution to the “Fayose Must Go Project.”

Sources in the known disclosed that the N150 million was handed to Fayemi in the presence of a notable chieftain of the APC from Lagos State, with the agreement that he (Aeroland) will be fielded as APC senatorial candidate for Ekiti central in 2019.

One of the sources also revealed that Segun Adewale was the financier of the parallel exco of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State, with the intention of using it to scuttle Fayose’s ambition of producing his successor should the Supreme Court fails.

Segun Adewale, who is from Ipoti-Ekiti, Ijero Local Government in Ekiti Central senatorial district had tried to secure Fayose’s support to contest the 2018 governorship under the PDP, but he was told that the political permutations do not favour him, considering his Local Government and senatorial district.

Upon his failure to secure the governor’s endorsement, Adewale teamed up with Senator Buruji Kashamu to set up a parallel Exco of the PDP in Ekiti State, with Senator Buruji conceding the factions governorship ticket to him (Adewale).

However, the Appeal Court judgment, which stayed the Federal High Court, Ado Ekiti judgment that affirmed the Buruji Kashamu factional Exco as the authentic exco of the PDP in the State threw spanners into Adewale’s permutation and he is nowworking on the possibility of contesting the Ekiti Central Senatorial seat under the APC, should the plot to remove Fayose through the Supreme Court succeeds.

In a statement released on Thursday, November 14, 2025, the caucus said such claims are baseless and should be ignored by every well-meaning member of the public. “Since the successful conduct of our governorship primary on October 27 and the ratification by authorised delegates on October 29, some mischief makers have been whispering that the party will not submit Governor Oyebanji’s name to INEC. This is completely false,” the statement read. The caucus emphasized that the APC operates according to a clearly defined timetable, which specifies the dates for submissio...
