World over, the development of any nation lies considerably on the shoulders of its intelligentsia. They are regarded as the gate-keepers of the cathedral of knowledge, the very conscience of the nation and the moral compass of the people. Politicians rule but only with the noble ideas and wise counsel of the intellectuals.
Sadly, in Nigeria, one "good thing" we can easily attribute to the Buhari presidency is that it has clearly exposed most of these so called intellectuals, religious leaders, human right activists, civil society groups and labour unions as nothing short of a congregation of intellectually fraudulent morally bankrupt horde of doubled faced idiots who only act according to the dictate of their stomach.
These ones are of a very distant relation with the term 'conscience'. They are not just part of Nigeria's problem. They are Nigeria's problem itself. They are guided by one rule and one rule alone and that is coins and gold. Their stomach is their guiding principle.
Buhari presidency has not only shattered the Buhari myths and exposed the Daura-born ex-soldier as a human disaster that he's always been, it has equally demystified these economic locusts and leeches masquerading as Nigerian intellectuals.
Have no fear for their high sounding grammar and meaningless rhetorics for they are men full of knowledge but devoid of wisdom. Their education is but an insult to common sense.
These shameless lots did not only lead the entire country into a bottomless pit that is Buhari, they have continued to wallow in their criminal silence and mindless hypocrisy while their Buhari and his fellow economic assassins have continued to subject the entire country to endless ridicule.
Not too long ago, the likes of Wole Soyinka, Femi Falana and Tunde Bakare had sworn they would save Nigeria or die trying. They threatened to open the gate of hell on the late Yar'Adua if he failed to disclose his health status. Fr Ejike Mbaka had left no one in doubt of his determination to be the moral compass of the whole country. He would wail louder than Jeremiah, the weeping prophet, each time boko haram bomb went off in any part of the country. Nigeria Labour Congree was ready to swear in the name of the many-faced god that it would protect the interest of Nigerian workers at all cost. Civil society groups would fume at the tiniest misdeed on the part of the then govt. The so called human right activists would quote sections even from sir Richard's constitution whenever the then govt appeared to have progressed in error.
Then enter Muhammadu Buhari, whom they all assured us, was the "Merlin" of Nigeria on whose shoulder the future of our own "Camelot" rests.
And who is Muhammadu Buhari?
Muhammadu Buhari is the Katsina state born ex-soldier who once committed treason against the Nigerian people by overthrowing the democratically elected govt of Shehu Shagari and Alex Ekwueme. This man did not not just truncate his country's democracy, he went further to demonstrate the worst form of bigotry when he locked up the then Vice president, an Igbo christian named Alex Ekwueme in Kirikiri prison while he housed the president, Shehu Shagari, who is a Fulani Muslim like himself, in a cozy apartment inside the govt house in the name of house arrest. This over-ambitious soldier would then go on to rule the country like a "Darken Raul". Human right was thrown to the dogs. Freedom of speech be damned. He ruled with a loaded gun and a suspended constitution and even jailed most of these same intellectual wanna-bes.
Yet,
He failed woefully and only succeeded in taking the country back to the dark ages.
This is the same man these so called intellectuals swore was the best man to run a 21st century 2015 Nigeria even if he had just a bread label in place of certificate.
And now that this new 'Messiah', Buhari, has not only afflicted the country with new set of deadly ailments but has equally refused letting seasoned medical expert attend to her, you would think that these intellectual Wildlings would be calling for his head but then, you would have thought wrong.
The comparative literature Professor called Wole Soyinka is now deaf, dumb and blind which begs the question; Has The Man Died in Kongi?
Femi Falana no longer knows the law. This is the same Falana who once dragged Ngozi Okonjo Iweala to the ICC simply for releasing fund to the then NSA, Sambo Dasuki with the approval of the then President . Buhari has brazenly treated court orders with criminal contempt. The army has killed thousands of unarmed Nigerians mostly in Zaria, Onitsha and the Niger Delta region. IPOB have had their members pelted with bullets right inside a church while others were bathed with raw acid by the same army trained and equipped with tax payers money. But for Falana, Emeka Ngige and their fellow men of the Night wig, helping the death merchant, Buhari to rape our electoral Act by constituting themselves into 13 SANs to defend Buhari's certificate-lessness was more financially rewarding than holding him to account for his savagery against his own citizens.
For Pastor Tunde Bakare, injustice and bloodshed remain a 'No No' for him unless his very close friend, Governor Nasir Elrufire of Kaduna state is the one perpetrating the injustice and bloodshed against Southern Kaduna people. Apparently, the god of pastor Bakare is in love with El-rufai's own brand of bloodshed.
As for Father Mbaka the pigeon priest, his pigeons no longer fly. Their wings flew away with Jonathan. The Fulani herdsmen can now come into Mbaka's home and slaughter hundreds including a Seminarian and Mbaka would see no evil and hear no evil, just so he wouldn't ruin his friendship with his chosen one, Buhari.
Today, we have a ghost president who is only serving as a conduit through which some bunch of political terrorists have usurped and are wielding executive power illegally. Suddenly, we no longer want this president to disclose his health status as we asked of the late Yar'Adua. We have an acting president who cannot swear in newly appointed ministers. He bears the title of an acting president, yet, the real acting power is being exercised not by him but by the so called Cabal.
Ah!
Nigerians!
Go home. Mourn! And cover yourselves with ashes, for your country has since gone to the dogs.
When all this is gone, we will forget Buhari and his White-walkers but we will forever remember the criminal silence, the, lies, the deceit and the betrayal of these morally bankrupt men who deliberately brought this dangerous snake home and lied to us that it was a harmless rope.
