Of Professor Kayode Soremekun many Deceits and Lies.

The Federal University Oye Ekiti has of late been wallowing in problems bothering around gross corruption and mismanagement by its so called management team headed by the Vice Chancellor Professor Kayode Soremekun. It will interest you to know that the problems of the institution got aggravated when this so called Professor of deceit assumed office back in early 2016.

Professor Kayode Soremekun has taught in Obafemi Awolowo University (O.A.U) and the University of Lagos respectively before his appointment in the Federal University Oye Ekiti.

It is from this two institutions that Professor Kayode Soremekun developed and began his deceitful tendencies, he lied about his academic career when he resigned from O.A.U to join University of Lagos, Professor Kayode Soremekun didn't duly inform the management of O.A.U about his new job with University of Lagos and so didn't sign out from the institution legally which implied that he was receiving double salary from both Universities.
This issue is in the purview of the Federal Ministry of Education and the National Universities Commission (NUC).

It is widely suspected that this issue is currently been swept under the carpet and stepped down because of the acting President Professor Yemi Osibanjo who is known to be instrumental to his appointment as FUOYE's Vice Chancellor.

In the same vein it is Paramount to inform FUOYE as a community and Nigeria as a whole that Professor Kayode Soremekun as a result of his strong will to stay in power, after suspending Union leaders, has invested over N30Million naira in bribing news reporters, and securing the services of security agencies to tame and intimidate FUOYE staff. In my previous posts on my hacked account I informed FUOYE community and Nigerians about how the financial purse of FUOYE is been drained and looted in the name of providing security for the institution.

Over N20Million Naira has been expended on armed police men whose services were secured from Lagos state and not Abuja as widely believed in different quarters. Just two days ago the Bursar Mr. Bashiru withdrew a sum of over N10Million naira to pay up the mobile policemen from Lagos. The Vice Chancellor Professor Kayode Soremekun after renting an apartment in Ado Ekiti aside the mansion the University bought, well furnished on assumption of duty as the VC of FUOYE, again yesterday requested for another N5.7Million naira from the University Bursar to furnish his already furnished house which was withdrawn in cash and transported by a known Bursary staff.
It is widely believed that over N500Million has been lavishly spent and siphoned by Professor Kayode Soremekun since been appointed the VC of FUOYE.

To make his case worse he organised a press conference addressing the truth being told everywhere with his cheap lies and deceitful statements where the Executive Governor of the state hosting the institution, Governor Peter Ayodele Fayose was being alleged to have sponsored the staff protest and unrest in the institution. There is a war insight, there is a revolution already knocking.

Professor Kayode Soremekun is being actively aided in deceit and lies by the Registrar Mr. Abiodun Daniel Adeyemo, a highly promiscuous, dubious and a grossly incompetent administrator who has by chance found himself as the Registrar of a budding institution. A good number of FUOYE female staff, single and married have subjected their body on request to gain employment and promotion under the Registrar. A good number of them are known to be nursing his many illegal offsprings.

In this regard, Professor Kayode Soremekun a pathological liar, money monger, cannot be trusted having contravened the position of the law of Nigeria as against the rule of public service in Nigeria. His many atrocities should not be swept under the carpet in the best interest of FUOYE community and Nigeria at large. He should be prosecuted and not made to hold any public office.

October 25, 2025 A former governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, Mrs. Atinuke Oluremi Omolayo (née Okeya), who was duly screened and cleared by the party’s National Screening Committee, has demonstrated uncommon party loyalty by stepping down for Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji and actively participating in the delegate congress held today in her Eporo Ward, Emure Local Government Area. Mrs. Omolayo, who was warmly received with an Ọ̀wọ̀ song by jubilant party members, expressed appreciation to her ward for the support they gave her when she initially declared her intention to contest for governor. She explained that her decision to step down for Governor Oyebanji was informed by his wide acceptability across the state, sterling performances in office, and commitment to Ekiti’s growth and development, which she described as derivatives of continuity. While addressing the crowd, Mrs. Omolayo urged party members in Eporo Ward...

Ignore Rumours: APC Confirms Governor Oyebanji’s Name to Be Submitted to INEC on January 16, 2026

…As APC Spokesperson Reiterates Official Candidate List Ahead of Publication The APC Integrity Caucus has moved to dismiss what it describes as a reckless and senseless rumour being circulated by a few individuals posing as party members. The gossip, they said, claims that the party “does not intend to submit” the name of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). In a statement released on Thursday, November 14, 2025, the caucus said such claims are baseless and should be ignored by every well-meaning member of the public. “Since the successful conduct of our governorship primary on October 27 and the ratification by authorised delegates on October 29, some mischief makers have been whispering that the party will not submit Governor Oyebanji’s name to INEC. This is completely false,” the statement read. The caucus emphasized that the APC operates according to a clearly defined timetable, which specifies the dates for submissio...
