Fayose: The One and only Architect of Modern Ekiti State

Where are those people saying the only thing we are doing in Ekiti State is Stomach Infrastructure?

Recently, I was embroiled in a squabble with a former Students' Union Leader over his wrong notion towards Ekiti State Government.

It is nauseating hearing some people say Gov. Ayodele Fayose has not done anything in Ekiti State both in his first and second term. After all, he did most of the things that makes Ado-Ekiti look like a state capital. But here I am today with the landmark achievements of the only architect of modern Ekiti State.

>> The popular Fayose Market at Ajilosun known as Computer Village in Ekiti was constructed by him during his first term.

>> The present Governor's Office was the initiative of Gov. Ayodele Fayose.

>> Lady Jibowu Hall in Government House was built by him during his first tenure.

>> The Fountain Hotel at the Trade Fair Complex was built by him during his first tenure.

>> Rehabilitation of Mathew Road, Ado-Ekiti.

>> Many virgin roads were constructed by him. Let's take Nova Road , Ado-Ekiti as an example.

>> The two governors who served after he left office in 2006 did not build a fly over bridge, but the project is ongoing today in Ado-Ekiti under Ayodele Fayose administration.

>> A new governor's office is almost completed.

>> Many local government headquarters now has dual carriageways.

>> Dualization of Ikere road from Ado to Ikere Ekiti Roundabout is near completion.

>> Construction of Elegberun Market at Ikere.

>> Dual carriage way at Awedele , Ado- Ekiti.

>> Construction of Women Development Center named after the late Deputy of Gov. Kayode Fayemi.

>> Ayetoro-Ewu road completed.

>> Ultra Modern Oja-Oba Market is ongoing in Ado-Ekiti.

>> Construction of De-Head road to Faglo filling station in Ado-Ekiti.

>> Construction of Adehun road in Ado -Ekiti.

>> A new high court complex is almost completed.

>> A visit to Ewi's Palace will make Ado-Ekiti indigenes continually heap praises on the governor.

>> Dualisation of Ado-Afao Road.

>> Renovation Of Oja-Oba, Ilawe -Ekiti.

>> Facilitation of e-library at College of Education, Ikere -Ekiti.

>> Construction Ekiti State Fire Services' building.

As stomach infrastructure is a continuous programme in Ekiti State so also is infrastructural development a priority. In this area, nobody can crucify Oshokomole. His supporters have reasons to remain so!

We are happy that all gargantuan projects in the state were executed by Peter De Rock.

APC Governorship Aspirant, Atinuke Omolayo, Participates in Delegate Congress in Emure

October 25, 2025 A former governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, Mrs. Atinuke Oluremi Omolayo (née Okeya), who was duly screened and cleared by the party’s National Screening Committee, has demonstrated uncommon party loyalty by stepping down for Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji and actively participating in the delegate congress held today in her Eporo Ward, Emure Local Government Area. Mrs. Omolayo, who was warmly received with an Ọ̀wọ̀ song by jubilant party members, expressed appreciation to her ward for the support they gave her when she initially declared her intention to contest for governor. She explained that her decision to step down for Governor Oyebanji was informed by his wide acceptability across the state, sterling performances in office, and commitment to Ekiti’s growth and development, which she described as derivatives of continuity. While addressing the crowd, Mrs. Omolayo urged party members in Eporo Ward...

Ignore Rumours: APC Confirms Governor Oyebanji’s Name to Be Submitted to INEC on January 16, 2026

…As APC Spokesperson Reiterates Official Candidate List Ahead of Publication The APC Integrity Caucus has moved to dismiss what it describes as a reckless and senseless rumour being circulated by a few individuals posing as party members. The gossip, they said, claims that the party “does not intend to submit” the name of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). In a statement released on Thursday, November 14, 2025, the caucus said such claims are baseless and should be ignored by every well-meaning member of the public. “Since the successful conduct of our governorship primary on October 27 and the ratification by authorised delegates on October 29, some mischief makers have been whispering that the party will not submit Governor Oyebanji’s name to INEC. This is completely false,” the statement read. The caucus emphasized that the APC operates according to a clearly defined timetable, which specifies the dates for submissio...
