House of Assembly members solicit support for councillorship aspirant




Two members of Ekiti State House of Assembly, Hon. Olayode Omotosho and Musa Arogundade yesterday at the meeting of the Peoples' Democratic Party, PDP Ifaki Ward 2 rallied support for a councillorship aspirant, Owodunni Femi popularly known as "Omo Ifaki" who declared his intention to run for a councillorship position in the forthcoming local government election in the state.

Owodunni is one of the members of Gov. Ayodele Fayose Media Team promoting, defending and creating social media presence for Ekiti State Government.

Speaking, Hon. Omotosho who is representing Ido /Osi Constituency 1 in the state House of Assembly said he attended the meeting to solicit support for the aspirant because of his loyalty and doggedness in defending the state government on internet.

Addressing the people of Ifaki -Ekiti, Hon. Musa Arogundade who hails from Ado-Ekiti implored the people of the ward to give the aspirant necessary support during primary election.

While making his intention known, the aspirant promised to represent the people of Ifaki Ward 2 well if given chance to stand as candidate of the party in the coming local government election.

He said he likes to serve under an experienced and performing governor like Bashorun Ayodele Fayose.

Expressing her happiness, the Women Leader of the ward, Mrs. Akeredolu Florence said she was happy with the type of attitude that God gave the aspirant and promised to give him unalloyed support.

The Chairman of the party in the ward, Mr. Ogundipe Gabriel thanked the entourage of the aspirant and urged the aspirant to continue with his attitude and wished him well.

The Youth Leader, Ojo Ayodele said the party needs to present a popular aspirant like Owodunni so as not to loose the ward for the main opposition party in the state.

It will be recalled that two members of Ekiti State PDP New Media Team , Hon. Sunday Ojosu and Olanrewaju Ayodeji were at their ward meetings last week to declare their intentions to jostle for chairmanship and councillorship positions.

Amongst the people present at the meeting were: Bar. Akin Fajemila, Mr. Ola Ogunlade, Chf. Olotin, Hon. Ajayi Sola Olukobe, Hon. Adebayo Ebenezer and representatives of PDP New Media Team.
