Who will rescue Deji Adeyanju?

5th December, 2017

Alonge Olufemi Alonso

It will just be a waste of time and energy if I go to Dr. Samuel Omotosho of Ekiti State House of Assembly to intimate him on the ill- condition of our brother from Kogi State. Alternatively, I have been thinking of what I can do to persuade a non partisan and a respected physician, Dr. Adeoye Olusegun to come to the aids of this brother.

This young man is seriously in need of help and from my end; the only thing I can do to assist him at this crucial stage is to seek for a medical doctor who will assist him in regaining his lost brain.

Being a Director of New Media of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) during the administration of Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, a lot has been heard about Prince Deji Adeyanju before I met him for the first time in May 2016 at Port Harcourt during the aborted national convention of PDP. Then, he was contesting for the position of the Deputy National Publicity Secretary.

Then, he was still with his senses. He saw us with Lere Olayinka and he came to exchange greetings and related with us like a normal person. The second time I would see him was in Ekiti.

Shortly after the aborted convention, Mr. Adeyanju began to loose his brain. He thought the party that made him would never get over Sen. Alimodu Sheriff's matter and he began to show the type of man he is.

When he said Buhari meant well for the country, I was shocked to see Prince Deji joining Buhari's praise singers because it's a known fact that Buhari is the worst President in the history of Nigeria.

Also, I was shocked when he started launching needless attacks on PDP leaders and my thought was that he has started hobnobbing with the APC gladiators not until he announced his defection from PDP and not to the APC.

Prince Adeyanju is no more a member of PDP and I don't know why he is very much concerned about the affairs of the party. Nobody forced him to leave the party and now that the party he thought was finished is making effort at reviving her lost glory, Adeyanju is now looking for a way to come back to where he got all he has in life.

He is seeking attention and he thought where he could get that is through Chief Ayodele Fayose and Gov. Nyesom Wike. I don't know about Gov. Wike but Osokomole will never listen to his rants. If he likes, he should continue lambasting Fayose every minute, that will not make Fayose to place him where he does not belong. Gov Wike and his friend in Ekiti are not cowards, therefore a lilly - livered gold digger like Deji cannot win their hearts easily.

Deji should know that the two governors he is attacking are not like those former governors whom he can just go to and get rewards for the service he never rendered.

If those brilliant, stubborn and crude members of Ekiti State APC cannot pull Fayose down with their destructive criticism, who is Deji Adeyanju?

The young man has no wherewithal to pull Fayose down and his incessant attacks on the governor will not make Osoko to look at his side for anything because he has nothing to offer the governor.

Deji Adeyanju is sick and needs medical attention. Who will help now?

APC Governorship Aspirant, Atinuke Omolayo, Participates in Delegate Congress in Emure

October 25, 2025 A former governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, Mrs. Atinuke Oluremi Omolayo (née Okeya), who was duly screened and cleared by the party’s National Screening Committee, has demonstrated uncommon party loyalty by stepping down for Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji and actively participating in the delegate congress held today in her Eporo Ward, Emure Local Government Area. Mrs. Omolayo, who was warmly received with an Ọ̀wọ̀ song by jubilant party members, expressed appreciation to her ward for the support they gave her when she initially declared her intention to contest for governor. She explained that her decision to step down for Governor Oyebanji was informed by his wide acceptability across the state, sterling performances in office, and commitment to Ekiti’s growth and development, which she described as derivatives of continuity. While addressing the crowd, Mrs. Omolayo urged party members in Eporo Ward...

Ignore Rumours: APC Confirms Governor Oyebanji’s Name to Be Submitted to INEC on January 16, 2026

…As APC Spokesperson Reiterates Official Candidate List Ahead of Publication The APC Integrity Caucus has moved to dismiss what it describes as a reckless and senseless rumour being circulated by a few individuals posing as party members. The gossip, they said, claims that the party “does not intend to submit” the name of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). In a statement released on Thursday, November 14, 2025, the caucus said such claims are baseless and should be ignored by every well-meaning member of the public. “Since the successful conduct of our governorship primary on October 27 and the ratification by authorised delegates on October 29, some mischief makers have been whispering that the party will not submit Governor Oyebanji’s name to INEC. This is completely false,” the statement read. The caucus emphasized that the APC operates according to a clearly defined timetable, which specifies the dates for submissio...
