EGM, a sociopolitical organization with over ten thousands youths across the sixteen local government of Ekiti State posited that Ekiti state has witnessed tremendous infrastructural developments which have positioned Eleka above other aspirants.

“The development plans and other human development policies of Governor Fayose within three years of his administration should be continued; to guarantee a flourishing Ekiti that all of us will be proud of," EGM said.

The group also berated the National Chairman of All Progressive Congress; Chief Odigie Oyegun for saying openly that his party, APC must win Ekiti state. It said, "Nigerians are aware of the electoral robbery that All Progressive Congress (APC) orchestrated in Edo and Ondo states respectively, *what are the achievements of APC in Nigeria that would guarantee its emergence*?

“Needless to say that APC is a party which is imbued with awkward policies that are alien to people of Ekiti and Nigeria."

EGM however cautioned the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to shelve any attempt to conspire with APC to alter the mandate of good people of Ekiti state. “INEC should not repeat what happened in Edo state because Ekiti will defend its mandate," it said.

The group also appealed to Ekiti people to come out in their numbers for the ongoing voters’ registration exercise across the 16 local governments and encouraged those who have registered to pick their permanent voter's cards.
