Ekiti Deputy Governor, Prof Eleka is the most experienced among PDP gubernatorial aspirants ~ Ex-governorship Aspirant
As the PDP governorship primary draws nearer, a former governorship aspirant under the Alliance for Democracy (AD), and former State's Attorney-General, Barrister Obafemi Adewale has said that Prof Kolapo Olusola was the most qualified and experienced among those jostling for the PDP governorship ticket.
The former governorship aspirant made this known during a meeting with all the PDP leaders in Ijero Ekiti.
Adewale said having been the deputy governor for more than three years, Prof Olusola has been equipped with needed experience for the task ahead, adding that the deputy governor posses three major qualities that distinguish a man, which are Humility, Loyalty and Ability.
"There are three things that stand out the Deputy Governor. God Himself in the book of Psalm 138 verse 6 said, 'Though the Lord is exalted, He takes note of the humble; but He knows the haughty from a distance.' Our own deputy governor, Kolapo Olusola is humble.
"In politics, loyalty is sacrosanct. You can't stay in between, it's either you're here or there. It is either you're loyal or you are not loyal; but in this arrangement, our own deputy governor is 101 per cent loyal.
"I have the rare privilege of being a product of University of Ife, now Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, products of Great Ife are always the best, our Deputy Governor did not just attend OAU, he lectured there till he became a professor.
"So in terms of ability, Professor Olusola is endowed. He has more experience than any other aspirants on the field as at today.
"Aside that, he isn't desperate to be anything politically, he was busy with his lecturing job when the lot fell on him to become the deputy governor, God chose him to be deputy governor; and this one also, he wasn't the one that started pasting posters that he wanted to be governor, God chose him, and he has learnt over the last three years what it takes to be governor of Ekiti State.
"These are the points I want us to have at the back of our minds. These are the potentials Fayose saw in the deputy governor that made him to throw his weight behind his deputy, and I want to assure us, what we have done (decision to support Eleka) is what God wants us to do," he explained.
