From Ondo to Ekiti, this is the first flyover

Olufemi Alonge Alonso

When Dr. Ayodele Fayose was declared winner of 2014 gubernatorial election in Ekiti State, some elites who associated themselves with the defeated governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi began writing  short and long epistles with well- polished grammar to tell the world how bitter they were to see Fayose who's not in  their 'class' disgrace their man in all the sixteen local government areas of the state.

They started with E- eleven but the evil group could not do anything to stop him from becoming the governor.

They fabricated unintelligent lies, one of them being that he slapped a judge but the concocted lie couldn't stop him from moving on.

The 19 APC lawmakers were too weak to execute their wicked plan on the man who is smarter than them all, well-known and loved by the people.

Through the man ( Fayose), Ekiti is now witnessing what no one among his perpetual enemies ever thought was possible in the state.

It is necessary to state that by this time in 2014, our brother, the then governor of our dear state (Fayemi ) was busy commissioning meaningless and  uncompleted projects.

But in 2018, Fayose whom some people thought his 2nd coming in Ekiti would be a waste and government of stomach infrastructure is setting more records for himself by commissioning meaningful and completed projects.

On Wednesday, Keseu Market at Okesa, Ado- Ekiti was commissioned.

On Thursday, Ekiti High Court was commissioned.

Today, the new Governor's Office is set for commissioning.

Also, the project (flyover bridge) that is making some indigenes of Ondo State raining heavy courses on their governor everyday and warning Ekitis to do everything possible  to prevent APC from winning July 14 election would be commissioned today.

APC's supporters in Ekiti are not happy with the gigantic project because they know it is enough alone for Fayose to use it getting huge votes from the electorate come July 14.

They know if  Professor Kolapo Olusola- Eleka, a builder by profession and a man of focus succeeds his boss that Ekitis would never have anything doing with APC and that is why you see them condemning the good works of Gov. Peter Ayodele Fayose.

October 25, 2025 A former governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, Mrs. Atinuke Oluremi Omolayo (née Okeya), who was duly screened and cleared by the party’s National Screening Committee, has demonstrated uncommon party loyalty by stepping down for Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji and actively participating in the delegate congress held today in her Eporo Ward, Emure Local Government Area. Mrs. Omolayo, who was warmly received with an Ọ̀wọ̀ song by jubilant party members, expressed appreciation to her ward for the support they gave her when she initially declared her intention to contest for governor. She explained that her decision to step down for Governor Oyebanji was informed by his wide acceptability across the state, sterling performances in office, and commitment to Ekiti’s growth and development, which she described as derivatives of continuity. While addressing the crowd, Mrs. Omolayo urged party members in Eporo Ward...

Ignore Rumours: APC Confirms Governor Oyebanji’s Name to Be Submitted to INEC on January 16, 2026

…As APC Spokesperson Reiterates Official Candidate List Ahead of Publication The APC Integrity Caucus has moved to dismiss what it describes as a reckless and senseless rumour being circulated by a few individuals posing as party members. The gossip, they said, claims that the party “does not intend to submit” the name of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). In a statement released on Thursday, November 14, 2025, the caucus said such claims are baseless and should be ignored by every well-meaning member of the public. “Since the successful conduct of our governorship primary on October 27 and the ratification by authorised delegates on October 29, some mischief makers have been whispering that the party will not submit Governor Oyebanji’s name to INEC. This is completely false,” the statement read. The caucus emphasized that the APC operates according to a clearly defined timetable, which specifies the dates for submissio...
