A former Banker with 10 Years Working Experience as a Public Sector Banker at Ecobank

He is an Economist

He is the Current Special Adivser on Due Process To Ekiti State Governor

He is the immediate former Local Govt Chairman of Ado-Ekiti


While serving as the Local Government Chairman, the following were achieved:

- Over 300% Increase in the Local Government IGR

- Proper house numbering and street naming with modern signage within Ado-Ekiti metropolis

-Construction of modern marriage registry at Irona, Ado-Ekiti

-Acquisition of basic equipment for 28 health centres in Ado-Ekiti


-Construction of public toilets to discourage open defecation in public places

-Construction and completion of Adere Neighbourhood Market

-Construction of 64 additional lock up shops at Bisi Market


-Renovation and Construction of Motor Parks within Ado metropolis

-Repair of all earth moving equipment including Grader, Roller, Tanker, Tractors, Tippers and so on at the Local Government Council after years of abandonment.

-Acquisition of 50 hectares of Land for the empowerement of 200 youths in Agric

-Stomach Infrastructure

-Grading of several kilometers of road within Ado-Ekiti metropolis


- Provision of borehole in each ward of the Local Government

-Construction of culverts, drainages and some Roads with asphalt

-Construction of Ureje bridge in Odo Ado

-Completeion of the Local Government Permanent Secretariat


-Empowerement of physically challenged people

It is noteworthy that Deji Ogunsakin left the Local Government with a loud ovation amidst accolades and several awards.

He's married to Dr.(Mrs) Folashade Ogunsakin who is also a registered nurse and biochemist


Deji Ogunsakin was born to the family of Alhaji Bello Shola Ogunsakin, a former Baba Adinni of Ado-Ekiti.

Alhaji B.S Ogunsakin, a philanthropist and successful businessman is from Olotin Family (peternal) and Baisanya Family (maternal) of Ado-Ekiti.


Deji Ogunsakin's mother hails from Oke Ilawe Street, Iyin Ekiti.
