Akwa Ibom Tribunal: APC Guber Candidate, Nsima Ekere Contradicts Own Written Statement ...Wants Total Cancellation Of Guber Results




Sensing contradictions by most of his witnesses in the Governorship Elections Petitions Tribunal in Uyo, APC Candidate Nsima Ekere has abandoned almost all the averments in his written statement on oath.


Testifying as a principal witness in his petition against Governor  Udom Emmanuel's re-election,  he said clearly that he abandons the areas he said he won,  accepting that he didn't win.


Under cross  examination by respondents' counsels, he sought the entire elections to cancelled by the tribunal.


This is at variance with the testimonies of some of his earlier witnesses, including a Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in Essien Udim, Supol Isiek, who two days ago announced that elections were free in his area, and tendered the result in favour of Ekere.


Ekere had in his petition stated that election in Etim Ekpo and Essien Udim local government areas were free and fair, and that he was declared the winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
