Ado Ekiti PDP leaders hail Bisi Kolawole's reconciliation efforts, Say "He has capacity to lead" 



Leaders of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Ado Local Government areas of Ekiti State  have applauded one of the party's State Chairmanship aspirants,  Hon. Bisi Kolawole for his efforts at reconciling members of the party and fostering unity among them.   


Hon. Kolawole, who was in Ado Ekiti few days ago, as part of his consultation with the party stakeholders on his State Chairmanship aspiration, was described as a bridge-builder, with a the strong character and personality needed to lead the party. 


 The Local Government Party Chairman, Hon. Yinka Olomofe, who welcomed Hon. Kolawole to caucus meeting in Ado Ekiti on Wednesday, said "at the appropriate time,  the party leaders in Ado Ekiti will speak unanimously on their choice for the State Chairmanship."


"We have no doubt in your capacity to lead PDP to electoral victory in 2022 and 2023. You are a committed and competent party leader, who has shown unrepentant loyalty to the  party from the days of the founding fathers. But we are yet to get to the bridge,  so we can't begin to talk about crossing it, " Olomofe said. 


Also speaking,  former deputy governorship candidate of the party, Hon. Deji Ogunsakin reiterated the commitment of PDP members in Ado Local Government to the coming together of all PDP members to rescue Ekiti people  what he described as the APC government of deceit.


His words; "We have seen the do-nothing but lying to have done everything government that we have in our State. PDP must have to come out strongly in 2022 to rescue the state from this Fayemi's APC government of deceit."


Reacting, Bisi Kolawole said he was committed to fostering unity among the party members, urging all members of the party to come together so as be able to win 2022 governorship election.


Calling on those who left the party  to return home, Kolawole said; "Those who left us must have seen that even in our imperfections as a party,  PDP is still the most democratic and accommodating.  


He assured of equity and fairness if given opportunity to be the party chairman in the coming congress.


Apart from the Local Government Party Chairman and Ogunsakin,  other stakeholders that attended the meeting included; Alhaji Lamidi Alaketu, Hon. Sina Akinola, Otunba Kayode Yusuf, Mrs. Badmus,  Alhaji Owoeye, Kayode Yusuf, Alhaji Adeparusi, Otunba Omolade Bolarinwa and Mrs. Funmilayo Adeyeye.


Local Government Executives and Ward Chairmen  in the meeting were; Pius Falade (vice chairman), Adegbofe Tunde (Secretary), Babatunde Olabide (Organising Secretary), Hon. Ajibola Afolabi, Oluwadisi Abiodun, Remi Ogunmoniye, Hon. Akinbo Ojo, Alfa Yinusa, Tope Makanjuola, Niyi Adeyeye, Tope Alakinyede and Tope  Afolayan among others.
