Fresh Armed Bandits Attack: Niger Gov, Sani Bello Orders Air,  Land Survelance ...Vows to fish out culprits

Consequent upon the renewed armed banditry attacks on Kukoki and other communities of Shiroro and Rafi Local Government Councils in Niger State, the State Governor,  Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello, has directed the immediate  air and land surveillance by security personnel in Kukoki, Manta, Mangani and Gurmana and other affected areas to fish and flush out the bandits terrorizing the communities.

Governor Sani Bello, who condemned the armed banditry attacks, added that the state government was fully supporting the joint security taskforce to chase the armed bandits out of the state.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mrs. Mary Noel Berje, the Governor expressed dismay over the unfortunate attacks, noting that the criminals were taking advantage of the vastness and difficult terrain of the forestland to unleash terror on innocent people.

The governor lamented that the menace of insecurity in the state was made more difficult because bandits were crossing over from neighboring states of Zamfara and Kaduna into Allawa and Erena axis and from Brini-Gwari adjacent Kamuku National Park.

While sympathizing with the victims of the recent armed banditry attacks in Kukoki and other communities, Governor Sani Bello called for calm in Kagara and Erena towns particularly and enjoined the people to go about their legitimate businesses.

He appealed to the affected communities to cooperate with the security agencies in the areas by providing credible intelligence that will uncover the hideout of the bandits, stressing that the issue of security is a collective responsibility.

Mrs. Omolayo, who was warmly received with an Ọ̀wọ̀ song by jubilant party members, expressed appreciation to her ward for the support they gave her when she initially declared her intention to contest for governor. …As APC Spokesperson Reiterates Official Candidate List Ahead of Publication The APC Integrity Caucus has moved to dismiss what it describes as a reckless and senseless rumour being circulated by a few individuals posing as party members. The gossip, they said, claims that the party “does not intend to submit” the name of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). In a statement released on Thursday, November 14, 2025, the caucus said such claims are baseless and should be ignored by every well-meaning member of the public. “Since the successful conduct of our governorship primary on October 27 and the ratification by authorised delegates on October 29, some mischief makers have been whispering that the party will not submit Governor Oyebanji’s name to INEC. This is completely false,” the statement read. The caucus emphasized that the APC operates according to a clearly defined timetable, which specifies the dates for submissio...
