A group within the All Progressives Congress in Ekiti, Integrity Caucus, has described a shadowy Gubernatorial Aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ekiti State, Mrs. Funmilayo Ogun as suffering from Attention-Seeking Disorder(ASD).
A statement by the Publicity Secretary of the Group, Michael Falodun, made available to newsmen in Ado Ekiti on Sunday expressed concerns that the frequent tantrums from the PDP Gubernatorial Aspirant are symptoms of Attention-Seeking Disorder(ASD) which ought not to have followed the aspirant into adulthood.
The group commended the media handlers of the Ekiti State Governor for their decision not to feed her attention cravings by constantly ignoring her inconsequential tantrums but focusing on spreading the news of the wonderful performances of Oyebanji's administration.
The group noted that Ogun lacks the integrity to dictate the payment of the new minimum wage to Oyebanji, when her party left more than five months arrears of unpaid salaries which has been defrayed by Oyebanji's administration.
Commending Oyebanji for always prioritising the welfare of workers and citizens of the state, the group stressed that no workers union in the state has embarked on strike action since Oyebanji's assumption of office due to his (Oyebanji) administration's strong disposition to workers welfare.
"Ekiti workers will continue to enjoy Oyebanji's government and every entitlement and emoluments due to them will always get to them.
"Just like the workers are enjoying the wage award, the Governor has promised to implement the new minimum wage and already set up a committee to that effect.
"So, Mrs Ogun should be mindful of the fact that Ekiti has a Governor that is very passionate about his workers and her meddlesomeness is pure attention-seeking, self-serving and unnecessary.
"She should rather devote the energy she is expending on tantrums to her moribund party, perhaps it could be enough to save it from imminent collapse", the statement reads.
