You Are a Meddlesome Interloper Preparing PDP For Defeat in 2026, Group Tells Dare Adeleke

A group under the All Progressives Congress in Ekiti, Integrity Caucus, has described the Caretaker Chairman of the Peoples' Democratic Party in Ekiti, Dare Adeleke as a Meddlesome Interloper sent to the state to prepare the party for imminent defeat in 2026.

In a statement made available to newsmen in Ado Ekiti on Thursday, Publicity Secretary of Integrity Caucus, Michael Falodun described the comment credited to Ekiti PDP Caretaker Chairman that Ekiti People has rejected APC and that PDP will win the state in 2026 as mere hallucinations of a drunken mind.

Falodun said Adeleke was stylishly demoted from the Position of Chairman of Oyo Pace Setters Transport Services where he superintends over a workforce with a higher number of people than what remains of Ekiti PDP and sent to Ekiti as Caretaker Chairman to superintend over the eventual collapse of the dillapidated Party.

He noted that the very few remaining members of the PDP in Ekiti has become more disgruntled and disunited with stakeholders publicly issuing votes of no confidence on Adeleke who came and started administering the party like a National Union.

“The PDP in Ekiti has become a shadow of its former self, largely due to the antics of leaders like Adeleke who have no real stake in the future of this state.

“Adeleke’s laughable attempt to mislead the people of Ekiti into believing that the PDP is a viable alternative is nothing more than a hallucination, the product of a mind desperately clinging to relevance.

"This is a man who was unceremoniously moved from managing Oyo Pace Setters Transport Services, where he oversaw a modest workforce to superintending over the crumbling remnants of the Ekiti PDP,  a party that is already on life support, irreparably fractured, with key stakeholders openly passing votes of no confidence in his leadership.

“He arrived in Ekiti and immediately began running the party like a National Union, alienating core party faithful and accelerating its internal collapse", the statement read in part.

Falodun said; "it is very clear to any discerning mind that Adeleke is on a frolic of his own. He wants to give an impression that he is on top of the PDP situation in Ekiti State by issuing a frivolous statement to please his paymasters.

"A more reasonable chairman will at least try to grapple with the myriad of problems PDP is facing presently in the state but Adeleke has failed woefully in performing his primary assignment as his party is still in disarray, full of factions without leadership.

"One may want to ask Adeleke how he arrived at his conjecture that a party in disarray will defeat a solid APC with a performing governor".

The group expressed confidence that Oyebanji will poll overwhelming votes to win the 2026 governorship election due to his unprecedented achievements in the history of Ekiti.

Integrity Caucus appreciated Governor Oyebanji for making Human Capital Development of Ekiti People a priority and defraying arrears of salaries and pensions while also devoting huge funds to defray backlogs of gratuities within two years of his administration.

“Governor Oyebanji has done in two years what others couldn’t achieve in an entire tenure."

“From clearing arrears of salaries and pensions to devoting substantial funds to pay off backlogs of gratuities, Oyebanji has focused on improving the lives of ordinary Ekiti people.

"His administration has invested heavily in human capital development, infrastructure, and economic growth, making Ekiti a beacon of progress in the South-West.”

“Adeleke and the PDP are living in a fantasy world if they think they can dislodge a governor who enjoys massive goodwill across all sectors."

"The 2026 election will not be a contest it will be a reaffirmation of the people’s trust in Governor Oyebanji and the APC."

October 25, 2025 A former governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, Mrs. Atinuke Oluremi Omolayo (née Okeya), who was duly screened and cleared by the party’s National Screening Committee, has demonstrated uncommon party loyalty by stepping down for Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji and actively participating in the delegate congress held today in her Eporo Ward, Emure Local Government Area. Mrs. Omolayo, who was warmly received with an Ọ̀wọ̀ song by jubilant party members, expressed appreciation to her ward for the support they gave her when she initially declared her intention to contest for governor. She explained that her decision to step down for Governor Oyebanji was informed by his wide acceptability across the state, sterling performances in office, and commitment to Ekiti’s growth and development, which she described as derivatives of continuity. While addressing the crowd, Mrs. Omolayo urged party members in Eporo Ward...

Ignore Rumours: APC Confirms Governor Oyebanji’s Name to Be Submitted to INEC on January 16, 2026

…As APC Spokesperson Reiterates Official Candidate List Ahead of Publication The APC Integrity Caucus has moved to dismiss what it describes as a reckless and senseless rumour being circulated by a few individuals posing as party members. The gossip, they said, claims that the party “does not intend to submit” the name of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). In a statement released on Thursday, November 14, 2025, the caucus said such claims are baseless and should be ignored by every well-meaning member of the public. “Since the successful conduct of our governorship primary on October 27 and the ratification by authorised delegates on October 29, some mischief makers have been whispering that the party will not submit Governor Oyebanji’s name to INEC. This is completely false,” the statement read. The caucus emphasized that the APC operates according to a clearly defined timetable, which specifies the dates for submissio...
