Ikogosi Primary School Teachers Endorse BAO for Second Term

Impressed by the love that Governor Biodun Oyebanji has shown them, Primary School teachers in the state, teachers in Ikogosi Ekiti have expressed their unalloyed support for his second term in office.

The endorsement took place at a meeting in Ikogosi Ekiti, attended by the Regent of Ikogosi, Princess Omobola Adepoju, the Chairman of Ekameta LCDA, Hon Dr. Leye Adeniji, all the Chiefs in Ikogosi Ekiti, the Chairman of SUBEB Prof Femi Akinwumi, the Educational Secretary of Ekiti West LG,  Hon.Mrs.  Bamisile, NUT Ekiti West  Chairman, Mr. Kola Awosusi.

While conducting the event, the Chairman of SUBEB Prof Femi Akinwumi, commended the initiative of the Primary School Teachers in Ikogosi for organizing an endorsement program for the continuity of BAO's administration till  2030.

He highlighted some specific programs targeted to improve the lives and welfare of primary school Teachers in Ekiti under BAO's administration. The SUBEB Chairman enumerated some of the steps taken by BAO's government to better the lots of primary school teachers. 

These steps, he said include: Purchase of official vehicles to all the Education Secretary in all the 16 LGAs, renovation of primary School buildings for conducive environment,  upgrading of primary school teachers to grade level 16 just like their counterparts in the civil service and secondary schools and the purchase of instructional materials and teaching aids to the primary schools

Others are: Recruitment of GL 8 as teachers in primary schools, regular payment of salaries to teachers and prompt payment of pension and gratuity to primary school teachers’ retirees and opportunity of housing and car loan being given to primary school teachers etc. 

In their remarks, the Regent of Ikogosi and the representative of the Onikogosi -in - Council, High Chief Tunde Oyebanji, thanked all the dignitaries present and the primary school teachers in ikogosi for formally endorsing BAO for second term and for their unflinching support being given to ikogosi as a community and to BAO's government.

In their address, the representative of Association of Primary School Head Teachers of Nigeria (APSHON) in Ekiti West LG Mr Onikola, the Coordinator of the program Mr. Ojo Ajayi and the Head Teacher of Ikogosi Baptist Primary School,l Mrs. Olabode thanked all the people present especially all the teachers present for their support for BAO's administration.

The Executive Chairman of Ekameta LCDA Hon Dr. Leye Adeniji while delivering his speech, appreciated all the dignitaries present and all the Primary School Teachers in Ikogosi for their brilliant initiatives by coming out openly and formally to endorse BAO for second term. The Chairman thanked them for their unalloyed support for BAO government. He equally charged them to ensure that they all get their PVC ready and vote for BAO/APC during the election. Dr. Adeniji equally seized the occasion to highlight most of the government policies that has great positive impact on the Teachers and the generality of Ekiti people under BAO's administration.
