A loyalist of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, Hon. Ojosu Sunday, has taken a swipe at Mr. Wale Aladeoba over a recent social media publication that allegedly attempted to sow discord between Governor Biodun Oyebanji (BAO) and former governor, Otunba Niyi Adebayo.
In a strongly worded statement shared from Iyin Ekiti, Hon. Ojosu dismissed Wale Aladeoba as “a political paperweight living off lies and hallucinations”, describing his commentary as “a drunken rant from a man who has lost both relevance and reason.”
Quoting a popular Yoruba proverb, "Agba o k'ogbon", meaning “not all elders possess wisdom,” Ojosu Sunday said it was unfortunate that people still lend attention to the likes of Aladeoba, whom he accused of “jumping from one political camp to another in pursuit of personal greed.”
“To put the record straight, I haven’t set my eyes on Wale Aladeoba in the last five years, not to talk of granting him any interview,” Ojosu declared.
“The imagined conflict between MOB and Governor Oyebanji exists only in the figment of his imagination and that of other mischief-makers.”
He praised Governor Oyebanji for steering the state forward through collaboration and unity, noting that “Ekiti people can see and feel the peace and development under BAO's leadership.”
“Governor Oyebanji is not only continuing the legacy of his predecessors, but he’s also building on it with the wisdom of experience and moral support from revered Ekiti elders. Together with MOB and Otunba Niyi Adebayo, they’re laying a strong foundation for sustainable growth,” he added.
Ojosu warned that Wale’s association with the Kayode Ojo political group might become a liability rather than an asset, considering his history.
“This is someone whose ward in Igede once expelled him from the PDP over acts of betrayal,” he alleged.
“Today, he’s at loggerheads with his own community, even to the point of being sanctioned by the palace. If Kayode Ojo's group did their homework, they’d know Wale is not an ally but a ticking time bomb.”
The APC loyalist also revealed that Governor Oyebanji had once assisted Aladeoba financially, helping to fix his car during a trying time, a gesture he says now feels like “casting pearls before swine.”
“If a man who has enjoyed such kindness from BAO can turn around to attack him online, then nobody should trust him. This is just a tip of the iceberg, I will respond more forcefully if he crosses the line again,” he warned.
Ojosu ended his statement with optimism about the political future of the state.
“Let it be known that BAO is a jinx breaker and MOB remains a strong pillar behind all the progress we are witnessing. The new chorus among Ekiti market women is clear: BAO till 2030.”
The political drama continues to unfold as the 2026 elections begin to cast their shadows across Ekiti’s political landscape.
