Rain of Endorsement for Oyebanji as Friends Celebrate Adeyeye

A gathering of friends, dignitaries, and political allies convened to commemorate the inauguration of Senator Adedayo Adeyeye as Chairman of the Nigeria Ports Authority.

The event, filled with a festive ambiance on Friday at Transcorp Hilton, Abuja, emphasised the robust support for both Senator Adeyeye and Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji, who graced the occasion with his presence.

In his remarks, Senator Adeyeye expressed profound gratitude to the governor, acknowledging his attendance as a testament to his extraordinary humility, which he characterized as "out of this world."

"It is not a mere coincidence that all former governors in Ekiti State are rallying behind you. This unprecedented solidarity has never been witnessed before in Ekiti, and I proudly count myself among those supporting you.
Numerous individuals have approached me from Ekiti State, voicing various opinions; however, I have consistently conveyed that for the impending election in 2026, it is BAO.

“Mr. Governor, we are steadfastly behind you. You are destined to achieve a resounding victory unparalleled in Ekiti, as I perceive no viable opposition. We are all committed to working for you; we are investing our utmost efforts into this endeavour.
You merit this, and we aspire for enduring peace in Ekiti,” Adeyeye asserted.

The leader of the Senate, Michael Opeyemi Bamidele, while addressing the audience, accentuated the significance of Governor Oyebanji’s humility as both a strength of leadership and a legacy for future governors.

“The tenacity and ingenuity of Governor Oyebanji constitute his foremost asset. His capacity to descend from Olympian heights and connect with individuals at every level has been instrumental for Ekiti. It is imperative that we perpetuate this spirit of camaraderie through our unwavering support for him in his second term,” Senator Bamidele elucidated.

Additionally, former Ekiti State governor Ayo Fayose conveyed his unwavering support for Governor Oyebanji before, during, and after the forthcoming election.

“Ekiti is indeed fortunate to have a leader of your calibre at this pivotal moment. When your time arrives, no force can impede it. I will traverse every nook and cranny for your benefit. We shall rally behind you to ensure the completion of the commendable initiatives you have commenced,” Fayose proclaimed.

Among the distinguished guests were former governor Segun Oni and Senator Ayo Arise, who joined in honouring Senator Adeyeye.
The event not only celebrated the senator's appointment but also fostered a unified front in support of Governor Oyebanji's candidacy for the forthcoming Ekiti 2026 governorship election.

The evening reiterated a collective commitment to peace and progress in Ekiti State, as attendees articulated their optimism for the future under the leadership of Governor Oyebanji.
