With the Governorship Primary Election of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State drawing near, the campaign committee of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO) has called on all revalidated members of the party who are financially up to date to stand firm with the governor, describing him as the only aspirant truly on ground.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, October 1, 2025, the BAO Primary Election Campaign Committee outlined Oyebanji’s track record of loyalty to the APC and commitment to its structures, noting that his approach to governance and party affairs sets him apart from other aspirants.

The committee pointed out that Oyebanji remains the only aspirant who has designed and sustained a welfare package for APC executives from ward to state level, prioritizes ward meetings across the state, and declared his governorship ambition from the ward level as a mark of respect for party structures.

It further noted that the governor’s ongoing tour of the 177 wards in Ekiti State confirms his grassroots appeal and unmatched presence in the party.

“While others are confined to online platforms and media noise, Governor Oyebanji has remained on the field with the people. Revalidated members who are financially up to date must reward loyalty with loyalty and ensure the unity and strength of our party,” the statement read.

The BAO Campaign Committee further urged members not to be swayed by “online noise or empty media propaganda,” stressing that the unity and strength of the APC in Ekiti rests on re-electing Governor Oyebanji.

The APC governorship primary election holds on Monday, October 27, 2025, while affirmation of the voting exercise will be carried out the following day, October 28, by the delegates.

This is completely false,” the statement read. The caucus emphasized that the APC operates according to a clearly defined timetable, which specifies the dates for submissio...
