Police Invite Fayose's Media Aide, Three Others, Over Alleged Violation Of Cyber Crime Act

27th November, 2017 Ekiti State Police Command, Ado-Ekiti, has invited Governor Ayodele Fayose's media aide, Lere Olayinka, and three others to answer charges against them by Ado-Ekiti lawyer, Adeoye Aribasoye, over alleged violation of Cybercrime Act. In the petition to the Commissioner of Police by his lawyer, A.A Daramola, Aribasoye complained that Olayinka and three others were engaged in alleged incessant criminal attacks founded on falsehood against some eminent personalities who are his guarantors, the consequence of which he had missed many opportunities that would have accrued to him if Olayinka and others had not tarnished their image, contrary to Section 24 of the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention ETC) Act 2015. Investigation revealed that the petition had been referred by the Commissioner of Police to the OC SIB for investigation. Intolerance on the part of Ekiti APC

This would be the second time that I would pen on the political immaturity and intolerance among members of the main opposition party in Ekiti State. My first article on this matter was written in August last year when the spokesman of the party in the state, Chief Taiwo Olatunbosun reported my able friend, Bola Agboola to the Nigeria police for posting negative stories on social media against APC and President Muhammadu Buhari. Fayose provides Christmas dress for 10,000 Ekiti children, empowers 250 tailors

26th November, 2017 At least 10,000 indigent children in Ekiti State will be provided Christmas dress made from ankara and other materials during the yuletide season. The State Governor, Chief Ayodele Fayose, disclosed this during a meeting with tailors in Ado-Ekiti. In a press release by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Idowu Adelusi, the sewing and distribution of the clothes would take place in designated centres across the 16 local government areas of the state. Moreover, the governor said he would buy 100 sewing machines to complement those to be used by volunteer tailors during the exercise. The 100 sewing machines would later be given out to tailors through a transparent balloting process. “When we were young, we always looked forward to the Christmas and New Year festivities that at least our parents would buy clothes for us. But with the prevailing economic situation in the country, some parents may not be able to do that and we felt we can help to bridge such gap....

Ekiti Students laud passage of Anti-Cultism Bill

Bola Agboola 21st November, 2017 Students under the Aegis of Combined Leadership of Ekiti Students' Movement on Tuesday commended the Ekiti State governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose for the passage into law of a bill prescribing death penalty for cultists in the state. Members of National Association of Nigerian Students' Joint Campus Committee and the leadership of the Ekiti State University, College of Education Ikere Ekiti, Federal Polythecnic, Ado Ekiti, and College of Health Technology, Ijero Ekiti Students' Union Government gave the commendation during a solidarity rally to the Ekiti State governor's office today.
