In the petition to the Commissioner of Police by his lawyer, A.A Daramola, Aribasoye complained that Olayinka and three others were engaged in alleged incessant criminal attacks founded on falsehood against some eminent personalities who are his guarantors, the consequence of which he had missed many opportunities that would have accrued to him if Olayinka and others had not tarnished their image, contrary to Section 24 of the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention ETC) Act 2015. Investigation revealed that the petition had been referred by the Commissioner of Police to the OC SIB for investigation. It was also learnt that OC SIB had written an invitation letter to Olayinka while three others' Bola Agboola, Debola Akingba...

Intolerance on the part of Ekiti APC

28th November, 2017 Olufemi Alonso "Tolerance is the positive and cordial effort to understand another's beliefs, practices, and habits without necessarily sharing or accepting them" - Joshua Liebman. This would be the second time that I would pen on the political immaturity and intolerance among members of the main opposition party in Ekiti State. My first article on this matter was written in August last year when the spokesman of the party in the state, Chief Taiwo Olatunbosun reported my able friend, Bola Agboola to the Nigeria police for posting negative stories on social media against APC and President Muhammadu Buhari. In the article, I was able to explain how weak and intolerant most members of APC were and how Dr. Kayode Fayemi, the former governor of the state ignorantly elevated Lere Olayinka. I said in the piece that Lere Olayinka would continue to be grateful to God for using Fayemi to boost his profile. Had it been Fayemi did not arrest Lere in ...

Ekiti 2018: APC youths reject Fayemi, Adeyeye as candidates; insist Guber candidate must come from South

Youths in the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Ekiti State, under the aegis of Ekiti APC Youths Congress (EAYC) have described reports that Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Dr Kayode Fayemi has tipped the National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Dayo Adeyeye, as his running mate if he emerges as the APC governorship candidate in the 2018 election as unacceptable to the generality of youths in the party. A close associate of Fayemi who craved anonymity disclosed to our reporter that the meeting between Adeyeye and Fayemi was brokered by a former Southwest governor, who is aggrieved about Governor Ayodele Fayose’s choice of his depu...
