27th November, 2017 Ekiti State Police Command, Ado-Ekiti, has invited Governor Ayodele Fayose's media aide, Lere Olayinka, and three others to answer charges against them by Ado-Ekiti lawyer, Adeoye Aribasoye, over alleged violation of Cybercrime Act. In the petition to the Commissioner of Police by his lawyer, A.A Daramola, Aribasoye complained that Olayinka and three others were engaged in alleged incessant criminal attacks founded on falsehood against some eminent personalities who are his guarantors, the consequence of which he had missed many opportunities that would have accrued to him if Olayinka and others had not tarnished their image, contrary to Section 24 of the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention ETC) Act 2015. Investigation revealed that the petition had been referred by the Commissioner of Police to the OC SIB for investigation.
