Covid-19:  Group commends Akwa Ibom Govt over provision of medical facilities  A Non-governmental organisation, Save The Nation Movement (STNM) has described as commendable, steps taken by the Akwa Ibom State government to equip the Isolation Centre for the treatment of Coronavirus cases in the State. BREAKING: Days After Testing Positive For COVID-19, UCH CMD Tests Negative  The Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan Prof. Jesse Otegbayo has tested negative for coronavirus, after spending eight days in isolation and treatment. According to The Nation, the Head of Public Relations Unit of the hospital, Mr Toye Akinrinlola disclosed that the last test on his blood sample return negative. Akinrinlola said the test result arrived at about 3:45 pm to gladden the heart of family, friends and workers of the institution. Otegbayo had tested positive to the virus last week. He said he may have contracted the virus through Board meetings of the hospital which were held from Monday to Wednesday last week. Owa of Ilogbo-Ekiti hails South West Governors on Operation Amotekun The Owa of Ilogbo-Ekiti, Oba (Dr) Edward Ajayi has commended the south West governors on establishment of the new security outfit in the region, "Operation Amotekun" ,saying they took right action at the right time. Call for Audit of FASA Account, Long Overdue -Stakeholders  Stakeholders in Faculty of Arts Students Association, (FASA) have applauded the unanimous decision of the faculty management to audit the account of the Association today. This is coming after a wide agitations from Fasaites to Faculty management to scrutinize the account of the Association given the alleged of misappropriation of funds. Group condemns EFCC invasion of Ibadan club house, calls for caution A Civil Society Organisation (CSO), Justice For All Nations (JFAN) has condemned yesterday’s invasion of a club in Ibadan, Oyo State by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), describing it as capable of collapsing business activities in the city. In a release issued on Sunday, and signed by its Coordinator, Dr. Dada Popoola, JFAN, which called for caution concerning the EFCC operations, questioned the propriety and legality of the EFCC sending its operatives to raid relaxation centres, injuring people, including waiters and whisking them away in handcuffs like common criminals.
