APC youths warn party leader against disrupting peace in Ekiti

Youths in the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the State, under the aegis of Ekiti APC Youths Congress (EAYC) have warned leaders of the party against any unnecessary protests aimed at causing chaos in the State. The youths said three buses loaded with thugs arrived Iyin-Ekiti today and challenged leaders of the party to put their own children forward to lead whatever protest they were planning before expecting youths in the party to join them. In a press statement issued on Friday and jointly signed by Mr Tope Ogunkuade and Comrade Tunji Adeleye, Convener and Secretary respectively, the EAYC cautioned youths in the APC against participating in any protest being planned to create anarchy in the State with a view to imposing emergency rule. EFCC on wild goose chase in Ekiti - Fayose

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has said that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is only on wild goose chase in the State, noting that "the anti corruption commission has now shifted attention to the finances of Ekiti State after its failure to establish any link between him and fund from the Office of the National Security Adviser under Col Sambo Dasuki (rtd)." Chinese Firm Clears Air on Abuja-Kaduna Rail Commissioned By Buhari, Says Project Completed in December 2014

The political hues about Abuja-Kaduna rail has been laid to rest by the company that handled the project. EKSG Compensates Affected People on Dualization of Ise-Ekiti Township Road

Ekiti State Government has distributed over 2.2 million naira compensation to the 27 people that would be affectded in the dualization of Ise Ekiti township road. Quest for the governorship ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) towards the 2018 gubernatorial election in Ekiti State is now tearing the party apart as two senatorial chairmen of the party have been axed. Court orders arrest of Ekiti APC chairman, others

A High Court in Ijero Ekiti, Ekiti State has issued arrest warrant against the chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Jide Awe, and three other, namely Faboro John Ojo, Aniramu Basiru and Falayi Busuyi for their alleged involvement in the murder. The four men are accused of being responsible for the murder of Ayo Jeje and Juliana Adewumi In Erinjiyan-Ekiti, Ekiti State, on March 30, 2013. Ekiti To spend N160m on community-based projects

Ekiti State Government is set to commit not less than N160 million to community-based projects in communities spread across the 16 local government areas of the state. As part of getting the affected communities involved in the exercise, the State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose, on Tuesday held a meeting with community leaders and the management of the Ekiti State Community and Social Development Agen‎cy (EKSCDA) in Ado-Ekiti. In a statement by the governor's Chief Press Secretary, Mr Idowu Adelusi, at least two communities are expected to benefit from the projects in ‎each local government area. The projects include water, electricity, health facilities, roads, culverts among others. June 2016 Federal Allocation: EKSG, EKLG Get N2.5Billion, N2.01Billion Respectively

Ekiti State government has gotten a net allocation of N2.5billion from the Federation Account for the month of June, contrary to insinuations by the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) that it got over N9billion. Aisha Buhari Explains Why She Is Suing Fayose

Wife of the president, Hajiya Aisha Buhari, has explained that she dragged Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State to court to prove that, “nobody is above the law”, stressing that she took the decision to let the public know that she is suing Fayose for defamation of character. According to a report in Daily Sun, the President’s wife spoke through her counsel, Mary Ekpere-Eta of Mary Ekpere & Co, Legal Practitioners, stating that “most importantly,” suing Fayose was to let the public know that, “the immunity clause is inexhaustible. EFCC acting wickedly, on vendetta mission - Ekiti Govt

Ekiti State Government has described the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission  (EFCC ) decision to appeal the Abuja Federal High Court judgment, granting Governor Ayodele Fayose’s ally,  Mr Abiodun Agbele bail and awarding N5 million damages in his favour as clear demonstration of the anti-corruption agency's wickedness and show of vendetta against the governor. The government said it was curious that for the first time,  EFCC was appealing against a judgment that merely enforced the fundamental rights of Mr Agbele by granting him bail in accordance with the laws of the country. Break News: Court grants Fayose's ally (Abiodun Agbele) bail, awards N5m damages against EFCC 

Justice Olukayode Adeniyi,of an Abuja High Court has just admitted Abiodun Agbele, an aide to governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State to bail in the sum of N50 million and slammed a, N5 million damages against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). The Court frowned at, "The arbitrary abuse of power and unlawful detention of the applicant (Agbele) without arraigning him in court of competent jurisdiction in line with the constitution". Justice Adeniyi ordered the immediate release of the personal property of the applicant seized by the anti-graft agency.

Osun judge’s sacking may weaken Buhari’s anti-corruption war – Activists 

The Civil Societies Coalition for the Emancipation of Osun State has berated the National Judiclal Council for recommending compulsory retirement for a judge in the Osun State High Court, Justice Folahanmi Oloyede. The Chairman of the group, Mr. Sulaiman Adeniyi, said at a press conference in Osogbo on Wednesday that the sacking of the judge could weaken the anti-corruption crusade  of President Muhammad Buhari, because many would not want to speak against the evils being perpetrated by public office holders. Oloyode, who last year accused Governor Rauf Aregbesola of corruption and abdication of his primary responsibilities including payment of workers’ salaries had petitioned the House of Assembly and asked them to impeach the governor and his deputy, Mrs. Titi Laoye Tomori, for this offences. EFCC Lied On Ekiti MDG Fund, Firm Supplied Nine Ambulances, Medical Equipment, Says Govt

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has urged President Mohammadu Buhari to stop acting like the grandfather of corruption in Nigeria by shielding his men from probe, just as he asked Nigerians to demand the release of the authentic report of the Committee on Audit of Defence Equipment Procurement in the Nigerian Armed Forces.
