A political group in Osun State, Osun Shall Rise Again (OSRA) has counseled the former factional Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the State, Mr Soji Adagunodo to in the interest of the party, seek prayers from men of God to break his blood oath with Ogun East Senator, Buruji Kashamu. This is according to a release issued after the group’s meeting in Ikirun, Osun State on Friday and signed by the Chairman, Comrade Oladeji Samuel Oladele. The OSRA noted that it appreciates the commitment of Adagunodo to the progress of PDP in Osun State, but his major constraint has remained the oath he took when he collected N25 million from Senator Kashamu. The group said that all those used as plaintiffs by Kashamu in the suit that caused PDP the Ondo State governorship election were paid N25 million each and they were made to swear to an oath inside coffin before the N25 million was paid. It is the fear of dying like others, who have reneged on the oath they took with Kasham...

The governor, who declared support for the call for President Muhammadu Buhari to either “resume or resign” said; “Nigeria can no longer afford a diaspora president or a president that is seen once in 100 days. OUR ACHIEVEMENTS IN OFFICE ARE UNDENIABLE - PDP

PRESS STATEMENT 15 August, 2017. OUR ACHIEVEMENTS IN OFFICE ARE UNDENIABLE - PDP 1. We have read comments made by the National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives’ Congress (APC), Alhaji Bolaji Ojo-Abdullahi, Mallam Garba Shehu, Special Assistant to the President on Media, and other senior members of the Ruling Party such as former Governor, Segun Oni and Dr. Osita Okechukwu, the Director General of the Voice of Nigeria where they attempted to rubbish the comments made by former President Goodluck Jonathan that his Administration performed well during his term in office. 2. It is our firm belief that these statements were borne out of ignorance, lacking in depth and are devoid of the Sort of critical thinking that one would expect from highly placed government officials. However, these officials seem bent on continuing what has become an official position of the Ruling Party to reduce commentary on public issues, and indeed the art of governance to comedy. 3. It is sh...

Ibori's appointment into PDP Convention Committee and APC hypocrisy

By Lere Olayinka Let me help the APC goons running their mouths about PDP inclusion of former Delta State Governor, Chief James Ibori in the National Convention Committee. Fact is Ibori was convicted in UK, he has served his punishment, and imprisonment of anyone should be reformatory and not a stigma with which someone’s existence must be terminated. Now to the APC; 1. The first National Chairman of the APC, Chief Bisi Akande was jailed in 1984 by a Tribunal duly set up by Buhari's military regime for using funds belonging to the old Oyo State to fund his political party. Interestingly, Baba Bisi Akande was only released from jail and not pardoned by the Ibrahim Babangida government. It is also a fact that it was late Chief Sunday Afolabi who prevailed on the Osun State PDP not to go to court to raise the issue of Akande’s conviction vis his qualification to contest election as a governor in 1999. 2. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, the APC Leader in the House of Representa...
